Classic Cycles and Memorabilia is a collaboration between a classic bike expert and collector, Dave Marsh and a cycling journalist and author, Chris Sidwells. Together they know bikes and cycling in a depth that’s difficult to rival.
Dave Marsh has worked in the cycle industry since leaving school; first at Carlton Cycles of Worksop then as an independent cycle dealer and manufacturer in his shop, Universal Cycle Centre in Maltby, South Yorkshire. Dave has been a mechanic with pro teams on big races, and he’s a long-time team and individual sponsor. His knowledge of bikes and the sport is huge, and he’s just as enthusiastic now as ever he was.
Chris Sidwells became a freelance journalist in 2003 and has written 21 books, edited or contributed to ten others, and 1000s of articles for national newspapers and specialist media all over the world. He now runs his own independent publishing company, www.cyclinglegends.co.uk. Chris writes on every aspect of cycling; from racing to touring, training to bike mechanics and has interviewed hundreds of the world’s best bike racers, past and present.
Classic Cycles and Memorabilia is the best of pre-1987 bikes, a great resource for enthusiasts who want to build their own retro bike, or any collector looking for retro bikes, frames and components. We carry a huge stock of memorabilia; from authentic jerseys, some signed by riders who wore them, to old posters, books and magazines. And we undertake restorations and custom bike builds.
